Privacy Policy

One Day is made and operated by Xiaoguang Zhang. It collects no personal data. There is no account to create, no server of ours to talk to, and nothing about you leaves your devices except through Apple's own services, at your choosing.

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no servers, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The app makes no network requests other than to Apple, for iCloud sync and for purchases.

What you write, and where it lives

Your answers, plan, quests, reflections and journal are stored on your device in a private app container shared only with the One Day home-screen widget.

If you are signed in to iCloud, that same store is mirrored to your own private CloudKit database so it follows you to a new device. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it and no ability to read, export or recover its contents. Apple's handling of it is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app simply keeps everything locally and works the same way.

You can export everything as Markdown at any time from Settings, and erase everything from the same screen. Erasing is immediate and permanent.

Notifications

Reminders and pattern interrupts are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. They are not push notifications; no server is involved and no notification content is transmitted anywhere.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, email, payment details or Apple Account. Apple provides us only aggregate, anonymous sales figures. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.

Children

One Day is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Data requests

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on request. Everything is in your hands, on your device.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and a material change will be noted in the app's release notes.
